Success depends on choosing the right actions.

Actions, however, come from your thoughts and habits. The words that you habitually use and think about can limit or empower you.

Most people are unsuccessful. The average person, however, has a limited vocabulary. Even worse, their vocabulary is biased towards the negative. Your brain filters the world based on the words you use every day. And success depends on recognizing opportunities.

In this article, I share the best success quotes, secrets, words, and meanings to help your brain recognize and find success. What is the vocabulary of success? Learn the right words and you will find your hidden treasures.

What is the Secret of Success?

  1. Be Passionate
  2. Work Hard
  3. Focus
  4. Be good
  5. Push
  6. Serve others
  7. Ideas
  8. Persist

This video and these quotes reveal the simple secret of success. Persist at what you love and continue to improve and help others.

Why Is Success Hard?

Success is like gold. If it was easy to get, it would be worthless. It is only meaningful to those who work to achieve it.

“Imagine if everyone went around transforming lead into gold. Gold would lose its value. It’s only those who are persistent, and willing to study things deeply, who achieve the Master Work.”

∼Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

Success: Improvement Over Image

Would you rather be recognized for something you earned or for something that was given to you? For being yourself or acting like someone else? Who you are or who you look like?

Stop trying to compare yourself to someone else. How could you possibly go through everything they did at exactly the right time? And don’t assume that you want to go where they are going.

Think about the most successful people. If you did everything they did you would not find success. They succeeded because they followed their own path. They did not ignore others before them, they learned from them and improved on them. Then they tried a new way.

Success Is Not Normal

If you want to be normal like everyone else then forget about success. About 95% of people are unsuccessful because they are too afraid to be different. They act and do the same things as everyone else and wonder why there isn’t much need for them.

To be successful you need to follow your own formula. But start with a few necessary ingredients.

First, you must be willing to put in the work. Most progress is made when the work becomes challenging. This is where most people give up.

Second, you must keep an open mind and be willing to learn and try new ideas. You need to let go of your old script if it no longer serves you well. Everything you learn and every person you meet is like another piece of the puzzle. Your dream starts to make more sense. But you need to keep learning to find the missing pieces of your puzzle.

Lastly, you must be persistent and committed to improving every day. There is little competition for persistence. But it is the last barrier to success.
